Medicare Covers HIV Screening Tests

In December 2009, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that Medicare expanded the list of covered preventive services to include HIV screening tests, effective immediately. They determined it is reasonable and necessary for early detection of HIV and is appropriate for individuals entitled to benefits under Part A or enrolled under Part B. Learn more.
